This week's meeting will include an ICUT class for all members who need to get qualified for Radio operations. In addition we will be focusing on professional development, discussing new roles for the upcoming year as well as preparation for Subordinate Unit Inspection (SUI).
Cadets have their own schedule but may join the ICUT class.

#April 24, 2015 |

The most pressing training event currently is the ICUT, which Senior Members will all need by the end of July of your participation in any exercises will be very limited.  All ACUT and BCUTs expire this summer.  The ICUT is three part training; two of which are on line and one hands on.   You MUST do part one on line, then the hands on, and then the third part on line after the hands on.  We have set Thursday, May 21 as the hand on training which will be hosted by squadron 150.  MAKE SURE that you do part one on line asap so you will be ready for May 21.  

Type of Training: ICUT

    • When: 21 May 1930
    • Where: Squadron 150
    • Project Lead: Dave Martin
    • Goal: Complete ICUT Training for members who already have ACUT
    • Notes: Squadron 150 has several Evaluators who can the oral interview and at least 4 computers that can be used for the on-line portions

March 17, 2015 | Squadron68 is hosting a SF Search and Rescue Excercise [SAREX] on March 21 and 22, 2015.

March 16, 2015 | On Friday April 10th starting at 12:00pm PST, Falcon Squadron 40 will be hosting the Civil Air Patrol Golf Tournament at Coyote Hills Golf Club, Fullerton, California. Please consult your commanding officer for details. This will be an excellent event with a Helicopter Ball Drop, Golf, Cart, Range Balls, Lunch and Dinner.

#March 8, 2015 | Captain Stallings provided orientation flights to Squadron 68 Cadets. 4 Cadets received front seat flights while another 4 cadets received back seat rides in Aircraft CAP 406, a Cessna 206 from John Wayne Airport.

#January 1, 2015#Thank you for your service in the Civil Air Patrol. Here are some highlights from Nationwide 2014.
CAP members flew 619 search and rescue missions and 1,053 missions for individual states. CAP was credited with 44 lives saved and 407 finds. In the aftermath of the Oklahoma Tornadoes, CAP ground teams photographed 13,000 home sites and other properties in Moore, where a monstrous EF5 tornado caused the most devastation

Squadron68 Competes In Round2 of the Cyberpatriot National Cyber defense Competition
CyberPatriot is the premier national high school cyber defense competition created by the Air Force Association to inspire high school students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) teaching d
isciplines critical to our nation’s future CyberPatriot is not a hacking competition. It teaches only defensive means of fixing vulnerabilities and hardening systems.
This competition serves in line with the Civil Air Patrol mission as part of the promotion of air, space, and cyberspace. We are looking forward to the competition. Good luck SQ68!

Squadron 68 Summer Bonfire

You're invited to join us for the Annual Summer Bonfire at Corona Del Mar Beach on August 29th at 7PM! There will be ocean, sand, fire, food, drinks, and the fine members of Squadron 68 as well as friends and family beginning at 7pm. Come early if you like and enjoy the beach.
